What on earth is SPF?

It stands for Simple Plan Foundation.

This charitable organization initially started out to help troubled teenagers and young adults to find their passion in life and work towards it. Right now, it’s main objective is simply to help as many teenagers as they can.

The objectives

The Simple Plan Foundation plans to help needy young people by contributing in the following fields:

* Help the various groups and organisations working with young people facing typical teenage problems: drugs, depression, suicide, poverty, and those effected by war

* Support various social and medical organizations dedicated to helping ill and handicapped children and youths

* Promote musical training in schools as a way of helping young people develop a passion and find a purpose in life

I think they’re one of the very few bands to have their own foundation and it’s very thoughtful of them to come up with something as such instead of spending their time solely on making music and having fun, like what most bands are doing the moment they’ve hit international recognition.
